What does Breakeven stands for in laser area

In fusion, scientific breakeven occurs when the fusion power is equal to the laser input power (see Ignition). Commercial breakeven is when sufficient fusion power can be converted into electric power to cover the costs of the fusion power plant at economically competitive rates (see Inertial Fusion Energy).
